The Garden
Welcome to The Garden, the children’s ministry here at River City Church! A Sunday morning in the Garden is more than just child care. It is a safe, loving and welcoming environment where your children are encouraged to engage Jesus in fun and creative ways. Biblical lessons are delivered through video, games, drama, singing, music, scripture, dialogue and play. It is a space for your child to grow spiritually and see themselves as Jesus sees them.
Our Vision:
Aligning with the vision of River City Church, the Garden is a place where children are formed by Jesus in age-appropriate communities. We
intentionally shepherd our children to know they are rooted in the love of the Father, growing in the character of Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Our Goal is for every child to find joy and excitement in learning about Jesus and from that knowledge, come to love and live their lives for Him. We believe children are full citizens of the Kingdom of God and our desire is to partner with families to help children develop biblically informed and active faith lives.
Our Mother's Room/ Nursery is now open! A comfortable space for nursing mothers where they can get in some extra cuddles while live streaming our church service. You can find this space downstairs.
The Garden
Age Group Breakdowns
3 months to steady walkers. In this room a blessing will be prayed over your child. We will engage the children through age-appropriate toys and music. Bottles will be given as needed and families are welcome to bring a snack. We focus on providing a safe, warm and loving environment in this room.
Steady walker to 3 years. We introduce praise and worship through song and musical instruments. A simple truth from scripture is offered and reinforced through song. Children are encouraged to sing, dance and begin to interact with one another through play, puzzles and circle time.
4 to 5 years old. Children in this classroom continue to spend time in praise and worship and are encouraged to develop a prayer life. In addition, a biblical lesson is taught each week.
1st through 5th grade. Children begin to learn the truth of God through reading the word. In this room, we combine praise and worship, prayer and scripture as fundamental to developing a personal relationship with Jesus.
